This amp has a sweet and greasy tone
with plenty of drive, the sonic equivalent of Granny’s deep fried
gator tail; with an extra shake or two of cayenne pepper for a
little more kick.
The
Bayou Bitch is extremely touch sensitive, allowing you to coax
everything from a deep swamp howl to the most sorrowful blue moan
simply by varying your attack. Tones reminiscent of that classic
Fullerton clean sound to the warm yet tight break up of the greatest
vintage blues amps, are well within the range of this point to
point, hand wired amplifier.
The
Bayou Bitch comes equipped with 40 watts of blistering tube power
driven by a pair of matched 5881 Groove Tubes in the power section.
A half-power switch gives you the ability to cut back to 25 watts
for those smaller venues. It is also the first amp from Swamp Works
to allow the selection of a fixed or cathode bias by the flick of a
switch. This gives you the ability to choose between fixed and
cathode biases without having to re-bias your amplifier. This
flexibility truly allows you to make the Bitch your own. After all,
everyone's Bitch has a different bark, right?
The
Bayou Bitch is also the first Swamp Works Amplifier to offer a
spring reverb in the combo model featuring dwell, mix, and tone
controls for all of the reverb fanatics out there.
