"I’ve been searching for my guitar tone for the past
3 years now, and have gone through everything from the cheapest,
dirtiest vintage amps, to the clean, expensive “boutique” clones.
Nothing has satisfied my search. That is until my recent journey
South, to the gentlemen at Swamp Works. I started off running
through the Bayou Bitch and was blown away at how it resembled my
Super Reverb… That is if my Super Reverb had taken some serious
steroids. Great tone, they have taken the lush cleans that the
Super is known for and packed on an amazing layer of natural
overdrive. The resulting amp would make my Super Reverb blush.
After talking to Scott and Mike about what I was looking for, they
pointed me towards the Swampwater Special. The first thing I
noticed was the touch response. This amp put so much emphasis on
how you hit the strings. With a light touch I got some incredibly
round and warm clean tones. Once I started really digging into the
strings, I was speechless at the overdrive tones this thing has.
It’s got a faint feeling of a Tweed,
but with deeper roar and tighter harmonic overtones. To tighten up
the tone a little bit, you just flip a switch and instantly your
mids are scooped. This amp in particular had a tremolo circuit that
absolutely blew my mind. This tremolo actually added to the tone of
the amp. When I was playing lightly, the tremolo was in full
effect, giving off a deep pulse. As the intensity of my playing
increased, the tremolo fell back in the mix, giving more defined
notes. An awesome addition to an already killer amp. Needless to
say, I was blown away by both amps, especially the Swampwater
Special. The guys at Swamp Works give painstaking attention to
detail, and absolutely know their tone. I’ve found my new amp...
Finally."

"When I decided to
place an order with the guys over at Swamp Works Amplifiers, I knew
it was the right decision by the time I test drove their Bayou Bitch
model. I was immediately pleased with everything from its superb
tone to its simple controls (it’s hard to make it sound bad).
We eventually decided
to build a Bayou Bitch that would be especially compatible with my
Parker Fly guitar. I had noticed with my previous amp that my tone
was always a little too flat and thin when I slung
this unique axe of mine, so we designed a version of the Bitch that
would match my need for a beefed up tone and accurately reproduce my
precise playing style.
The turnover time was
excellent and the build was a success. I do not ever see myself
using anything else to play with. Why would I need to? When you have
your own personal contact that can build whatever you like, why pay
for a stock model from Mesa Boogie when Swamp Works Amps sound
better? One Bayou Bitch coming right up!"

"These good ole boys hail from Madison
Alabama. I was drawn in by an array of compact hardwood cased heads
with intriguing names such as HellHog, Mudbug, Bayou Bitch, and
Possum Stomper.
I stayed quite a while and had a great time playing every single one
of their amps. What impressed me most was the originality of tone
throughout their line. There were no TrainWreck wannabe's or
MarshallyFenderyVoxy copy type things here. Yes, they build on
platforms using 6L6, 6V6, EL34s, but each amp had their own
distinctive, bold voice. Again, everything here is hand-wired and
point-to-point, high quality components and made in the USA.
I had never heard of SwampWorks Amps before, but I have now and they
are solidly on my radar. Very very impressed with both the builds
and the tone! I give them five thumbs up, and I'm saving up for
one."

"I have played just about every bass amp there is
and owned about half as many as I've played...
this bass amp in my opinion is the best amp I've ever
heard or played...it is an SVT in a 25lb package...I was
blown away.
I played it for like 20 minutes, which I never do. The builder was
there and was dialing it in as I played and explaining it the whole
time. He had the thing cranked and it was beautiful. There were no
dead spots anywhere!
Everything I gave the bass was translated by the amp with
perfection. Harmonics were as loud as fretted notes with all the low
end that most amps usually cannot reproduce.
This amp is a MUST for any bassist who wants the feel, touch
sensitivity, and power of the SVT."
